Electric & Gas Aggregation

In order to join the program, you should have received a letter from Energy Harbor. The letters were mailed to residents that do not have a third-party supplier.  If you received a letter from Energy Harbor about the aggregation, you do not have to do anything, you will be enrolled into the program if you do not opt-out. If you did not receive the letter, you can call Energy Harbor to enroll into the program.

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio regulates governmental energy aggregation programs. More information can be found on their website at: https://www.puco.ohio.gov/be-informed/consumer-topics/governmental-energy-aggregation-local-community-buying-power/

In November 2018 Pierce Township residents voted to approve an energy aggregation program intended to provide residents and small businesses with a favorable energy rate through bulk purchasing. Our first supplier contracts expired at the end of May 2021 and new contracts were negotiated with new suppliers in June 2021.

Currently, Pierce Township does not have a natural gas aggregation provider and our electric aggregation will be going up for rebidding

If you have additional questions, please feel free to contact the Township Administrator directly at 513-947-2000.
