Pierce Township Aggregation
In order to join the program, you should have received a letter from Energy Harbor. The letters were mailed to residents that do not have a third-party supplier. If you received a letter from Energy Harbor about the aggregation, you do not have to do anything, you will be enrolled into the program if you do not opt-out. If you did not receive the letter, you can call Energy Harbor to enroll into the program.
Electric Aggregation Program
Pierce Township is providing you with the opportunity to join with other residents to purchase discounted generation service. Discounts are possible through a concept called government aggregation, where Township officials bring together citizens to gain group-buying power for the purchase of electric from a retail supplier certified by the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio. Pierce Township voters approved this program in November of 2018.
Under this arrangement, Energy Harbor has been selected as your Township’s preferred electricity provider.
Through your Township Electric Aggregation Program, we are pleased to offer electric supply for your home or small business at a rate of $0.0699 per kwh for the term of 24 months beginning in June 2023 through June 2025 meter read dates. There is no cost for the enrollment and you will not be charged a switching fee.
Budget billing of the entire bill is available to anyone who prefers budget certainty. As with the utility you will still be required to request the service directly from the supplier. Energy Harbor can be reached at the toll free number listed below.
The Duke Energy portion of your bill can also be budgeted. In order to have this service in place please call Duke Energy directly at 1-800-544-6900.

If you already have a supplier in place, under contract or not, and would like to inquire about joining the aggregation, please follow the simple steps below:
- Call your existing supplier first. Ask them when your contract expires and whether there is an early termination fee to leave them as a supplier.
- If there is no early termination fee, ask the supplier to place your account back with Duke Energy.
- If there is an early termination fee, you must decide if it’s worth leaving the supplier early to join the aggregation. If you still want to proceed with joining the aggregation, you should direct the supplier to place your account back with Duke Energy.
- To join the Aggregation, once you have been placed back with Duke Energy, for electric call Energy Harbor at 1-866-636-3749.
