Township Administrator

The Pierce Township Trustees and Fiscal Officer carefully oversee a $14+ million budget with day-to-day operations handled by a Township Administrator.

The duties and responsibilities of the Township Administrator are defined in the Ohio Revised Code section 505.032. Under the direction of the Pierce Township Board of Trustees, the Administrator supervises day to day operations related to personnel and financial matters and assists in “the administration, enforcement and execution of the policies and resolutions of the board.”

Eddie McCarthy

Interim Township Administrator

Eddie McCarthy was named the Interim Township Administrator following the retirement of Tim Williams on August 30, 2024. Eddie also serves as the Director of Community Development and Planning for Pierce Township. He previously held multiple planning positions in Jessamine County, Kentucky, Fairfax, Virginia, and Pender County, North Carolina.

Eddie attended SUNY Geneseo as an undergraduate, where he received a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He later earned a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Kentucky.

In his spare time, Eddie follows his beloved Milwaukee Brewers and Buffalo Bills. He resides in Anderson Township with his wife and two children.
