Pierce Township Seeks Two (2) Volunteers to Serve on the Pierce Township Zoning Commission
The Pierce Township Board of Trustees is seeking applications from Township residents interested in serving on the Zoning Commission. Citizens interested in these appointments must be residents of the unincorporated area of the Township. The Commission consists of five members and two alternates appointed by the Board of Trustees. Each full member serves a five-year term, while alternates serve two-year terms and vote in the absence of a member. The Zoning Commission meets monthly to review zoning applications for Planned Unit Developments, Zone Changes related to new development, Text Amendments and participate in long range planning projects. The Zoning Commission regularly meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 6:30PM. Of the two applicants selected, one will be appointed to the alternate term and one will be appointed to serve as a full member.
