Officer Jay Shaw to Retire in February

Pierce Township Police Officer Jay Shaw’s last day of service as a full-time police officer will be February 2, 2024. Officer Shaw has had an exemplary 35-year police career. He began his career with the Mt. Orab Police Department in 1988. He also served with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office before joining the Pierce Township Police Department in 2003.

Officer Shaw’s history with the PTPD included assignments as a canine officer and an investigator with the Clermont County Narcotics Unit. The majority of his career was spent as a patrol officer, where he embodied the core principles of law enforcement – To Protect and Serve. His personnel file includes numerous chief commendations and over 35 letters of appreciation from the public and other law enforcement agencies.

Officer Shaw truly loved serving the Pierce Township community, and we thank him for his professionalism and dedication to duty.
