Volunteers Needed to Serve on Pierce Township Zoning Commission

The Pierce Township Board of Trustees is seeking applications from township residents interested in serving on the Zoning Commission. Citizens interested in these appointments must be residents of the unincorporated area of the township. The Zoning Commission consists of five members and two alternates appointed by the Board of Trustees. The current vacancies include one full member and two alternates. Each full member serves a five-year term, while alternates serve two-year terms and vote in the absence of a member. The Zoning Commission meets monthly to review zoning applications for Planned Unit Developments, Zone Changes related to new development, Text Amendments and participate in long range planning projects. The Zoning Commission regularly meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 6:00 pm.
