Road Closure – Hopper Hill Road

Pursuant to Section 5543.17 of the Ohio Revised Code, I have determined that a road closure is necessary on Hopper Hill Road, as it is impractical to construct a temporary highway, culvert, or bridge. This closure is necessary for Duke Energy to relocate and replace utility poles in preparation for an upcoming landslide repair project.

The closure is located between address 3563 and 3579 Hopper Hill Road. The road will be closed to through traffic from 9AM to 2PM on Monday, June 22, 2026, through Wednesday, June 24, 2026. The length of the detour is approximately 6.97 miles or 36,781 feet.

The Office of the Clermont County Engineer shall notify the Communication Center and other affected agencies. AlI advanced warning and detour signs will be erected and maintained for this project. Our crews will install and maintain advance notice and detour signage. Duke Energy will be responsible for installing and maintaining barricades and closure signage within the work zone.
