Pierce Township Officers Help Family in Need
Earlier this week, Pierce Township police officers responded to a call for a welfare check and ended up helping a family in need.
The family, including two small children, is living in difficult conditions, and the officers noticed they lacked many household necessities.
Using funds from the Pierce Township Police Foundation, they went shopping and delivered groceries to the family.
The officers also provided information on resources that could help the family moving forward.
Pierce Township police officers donate a portion of their salary to a fund that provides assistance in these situations.
