Volunteers Needed to Serve on Board of Zoning Appeals

The Pierce Township Board of Trustees is seeking applications from Township residents interested in serving on the Board of Zoning Appeals. Citizens interested in these appointments must be residents of the unincorporated area of the Township. Each Board consists of five members and two alternates appointed by the Board of Trustees. Each full member serves a five-year term, while alternates serve two-year terms and vote in the absence of a member. The Board of Zoning Appeals meets monthly meets as needed, usually evenings, when applications are received to hear requests for variances and appeals. The current vacancies available are for 1 Regular Position, and for 2 Alternate Positions.
