Sugar Maple
Size: Sugar Maples usually reach heights of 80 to 115 feet.
Location: It is mainly found east of the Mississippi River and north of the Ohio River, but can occasionally be found out in Missouri and along the southern Appalachian mountains.
Fun Facts: If you are a fan of maple syrup on your pancakes and waffles, this tree is a major source of the sap needed to make it.
Bark: The bark is has shallow ridges that move continuously down the tree.
Flower: The tree has small bright red flowers that bloom in the early spring every year
