Career Firefighter/Paramedic Opportunity

The Pierce Township Fire Department is seeking to fill one or more vacancies for full-time Firefighter/Paramedics. Firefighter/Paramedics work 24/48 schedule with a three (3) week Kelly Day, four (4) floating  holidays, and holiday pay incentives. Starting pay for a Firefighter/Paramedic is $53,516.208-$59,046.36 annually depending on lateral entry eligibility plus competitive benefits package. Prospective candidates must complete an application and have it returned no later than June 9, 2023 at 16:00 hours. Interviews will be conducted the week of June 12, 2022. Pierce Township Fire Department offers a dynamic work environment with our modern fleet of fire and EMS apparatus. We respond to a wide variety of emergencies in rural, suburban, and urban settings. Our personnel respond to river emergencies, wildland fires, hazardous material releases and many other incidents. Currently our department responds to over 3,000 incidents out of 2 stations. Our employees find the moderate run volume to be interesting without being overwhelming. Exercise facilities are available at each station for on-duty and off-duty usage. Qualifications preferred but not required to apply for this include:

•Valid driver’s license
•High School diploma or equivalent
•Ohio Firefighter II
•Ohio Paramedic or currently enrolled in a Paramedic Program
•Ohio Fire Safety Inspector/ Hazard Recognition Officer
•NIMS 100, 200, 700 & 800
