Fire Rope Rescue Operations Course

April 25^th, 26^th, and 27^th 10 members or our fire department and nine from Milford Community Fire Department held a Rope Rescue Operations Course for both new and experienced firefighters in both agencies. Students received 24-hours of hands-on training in rappelling, climbing, and the management of both compound and complex mechanical advantage rope systems to rescue injured victims in different situations. The training took place at several different area locations (WTFD Station 66, PTFD Station 44, MCFD Station 71, Pierce Township’s Pierce Preserve & Trails, and Carriage Way Park in Milford).
