Pierce Township has been awarded $11,250 in grant funding from the Clermont County Park District
through the 2017 Community Parks Improvement Program to replace the pedestrian bridge in our
Pierce Township Park. This is a reimbursable grant with a 25% local match required in the amount of $3,750.

The existing covered bridge (from 1988) has deteriorated and caused concern due to the lack of overhead clearance. Next year it will be removed and replaced with a new structure in keeping with current standards for hike/bike facilities. We are thankful for the many volunteers and members of the Pierce Township Parks and Greenspace Committees who assisted with the application and actively participate in the maintenance of these trails.
