Bear Oak

Size: The Bear Oak grows around 30 feet tall on average, and up to a foot in diameter.

Location: Although it mainly grows in the Northeastern United States, the tree can commonly be found scattered across the Midwest.

Fun Fact: The acorns from this tree are a main staple in the diet for many animals such as nears, turkeys, squirrels, and white tailed deer.

Leaf Characteristics: The leaf has a very unique shape with three rounded curves on each side and one on the top.

Flower: The tree forms a quick beautiful flower around the acord before it is dropped
