This Notice is issued by authority of the President of the Board of Trustees of Pierce Township and the Chairman of the Pierce Township Zoning Commission.

At a recent public meeting sponsored by the Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services, comment was made that the proposed drug rehabilitation house located at 3814 Merwin Ten Mile Road has been approved by the Pierce Township Trustees and by the Pierce Township Zoning Commission. Any such statement would be inaccurate. The Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services has never applied for any authorization by the Zoning Commission or a zoning consent. The building permit, issued by Clermont County, was granted to the previous owners of the property for the purpose of remodeling the home. There has been NO authorization concerning the proposed use of the property by the Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services. The Board of Trustees of Pierce Township have never granted any authorization for the facility to operate in Pierce Township. In fact, the Trustees are engaging in a fact-finding investigation to determine whether the proposed use of the property complies with the Pierce Township Zoning Resolution. Citizens who are concerned about these issues may want to attend the next public meeting, also sponsored by the Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services, on May 24, 2017 at the Merwin Elementary School. This meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m.
