Elected Officials

Pierce Township, like other townships throughout the state, has four elected officials: Three Trustees and a Fiscal Officer.
Each official serves a four-year term of office and is elected by voters in both the unincorporated and the incorporated
(Amelia Village) portions of the Township. The following elected officials represent the residents of Pierce Township:

Chris Knoop Christopher Knoop – Chair of the Board

Raised in Pierce Township and a resident for nearly sixty years, Christopher Knoop served on the township Zoning Commission from 1998 through 2005, and has been on the Board of Trustees since 2006. As trustee he has advocated for, among other things, the township’s Green-space program, for conservation development, and for strategic planning.  An architect and planner since 1971, his past experience includes: serving on the Clermont County Planning Commission, its Subdivision Regulations Committee, along with the Clermont Flood Plain Management, Water Management & Sedimentation Control Boards, as well as the boards of the Cincinnati Nature Center, and the Hillside Trust. Also, as director of Locust Corner Land Company, Chris created – on farm land in his family since the early 1900’s – the Locust Hill Road and Locust Run Road communities.

Bonnie J. Batchler - Trustee

Mrs. Batchler currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees.  She first took office as a trustee on January 1, 2000, and is now in her third term.  Mrs. Batchler is a thirty-three year resident of the township and started volunteering here in 1981 when she became the EMS Chief of the Pierce Township Volunteer Fire Department for fourteen years.  In between her terms as a trustee, she also served on the Pierce Township Board of Zoning Appeals.

 

Mrs. Batchler retired as a Senior Credit Analyst from Senco Products after working there for thirty-six years.  In 2009 she graduated from the Clermont 20/20 Leadership Program.  She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Clermont County Community Services.
