OCJS JAG LE GRant Awarded - 2009

Pierce Township Police Department has been awarded a grant from OCJS, Office of Criminal Justice Services.  This is a $30,000 grant to contribute towards the personnel provided to the Clermont County Narcotics Unit for 2009.  


 

NADDI and Abbott Labs Grant

The Nation Association of Drug Diversion Investigators and Abbott Labs award the Pierce Township Police Department with a $25,000 grant that will help fund police personnel to work with the Clermont County Drug Unit to investigate pharmaceutical drug abuse cases.


 Wal-Mart Good Works Donation

Walmart

 

Wal-Mart Good Works has awarded the Pierce Township Police Department with a $1000.00 contribution. The contribution will be utilized to fund the training and equipment needs of the department.  


Cinergy Foundation Awards Grant


The Walter C. Beckjord Station of Power Operations, through the Cinergy Foundation has awarded the Pierce Township Police Department with a $750.00 contribution. The contribution will be utilized to fund the training and equipment needs of the department.


Police Department Rewarded

The Pierce Township Police Department participated in the 2004 State of Ohio's 100 Days of Summer Safety Program. Upon completion of our program, it was submitted to the Ohio Department of Public Safety for evaluation. The Program was in competition with, and compared to nearly one-thousand law enforcement agencies throughout the State. The competition included cities of Cincinnati, Cleveland, Akron, Toledo, Columbus, Dayton, eighty-eight Sheriff's Departments, Ohio State Highway Patrol and many other well-funded agencies.

Pierce Township's safety program was selected as one of the top sixteen programs in the entire State of Ohio. For this honor the Department was awarded a four-thousand dollar, state of the art, in-car video system from the Ohio Department of Public Safety.

Pierce Township was eventually awarded the grand prize and will receive a fully equipped 2006 Crown Vic Police Interceptor. The total value for the camera and vehicle is worth approximately thirty-five thousand dollars.

The persons responsible for this award are the officers that made the program work! 

 


 

Cinergy Foundation Awards Grant

The Walter C. Beckjord Station of Power Operations, through the Cinergy Foundation has awarded the Pierce Township Police Department with a $2,000.00 contribution. The contribution will be utilized for the new Drug Detection Canine Program.
