Update from Fire Chief Craig Wright:

A Unified Command Post has been established to assist in managing the flooding event. It will have limited staffing overnight. Additional rounds of moderate to heavy rain is expected from Saturday night through early Sunday morning. There is a risk of isolated flash flooding, damaging winds, and an isolated tornado. The main storm is expected from 11:00 pm Saturday to 4:00 am Sunday.

The Ohio River is forecasted to crest at 59.5 feetĀ on Monday 2/26. This is a prediction and can change depending on weather conditions. We are hopeful the levels remain under what was previously expected.

An emergency shelter location has been established at the New Richmond High School, 1131 Bethel-New Richmond Road. This shelter is available to any impacted resident in Pierce or Ohio Township as well as those impacted in our neighboring communities.

Tri-State CART has established a pet shelter at the First Baptist Church of New Richmond located at 1168 Bethel-New Richmond Road. This shelter is also available to those impacted who need temporary housing for pets.
